Breaded food is a easy and simple alternative to fried food. It’s healthier and can be made so simply with just a few ingredients. Lots of health websites often put up recipes for breaded foods as they’re so tasty.
All you need is
- ½ courgette
- 2 tbsps flour
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp Parmesan
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 1 tsp paprika
To make it just
- Place the flour in a bowl, in another bowl place the egg and gently whisk so the yolk separates.
- In the third bowl place the breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic and paprika and mix well.
- Slice the courgette into strips about 1cm thick and then place in flour, egg and breadcrumbs mix.
- Cook on 240°C/220°C Fan/Gas Mark 9 for 20 minutes until slightly golden.
Tip: all costings for breadcrumb meals are based on using pre-purchased breadcrumbs it would be a lot cheaper if you used a blitzer and made your own breadcrumbs.
